How do I delete my account?
PDFTools doesn't require an account to use. All tools are anonymous and accessible without signup. No profile data is stored by default, so there's nothing to delete.
Are my files safe?
Yes. PDFTools processes all files in your browser — they never upload to our servers. Your files are protected by HTTPS encryption and automatically deleted within hours if temporary processing is needed. We never store, backup, or analyze your documents.
Why is PDFTools free?
Browser-based processing keeps our infrastructure costs low. We don't need expensive servers to store files or complex databases. This allows us to offer powerful PDF tools completely free, forever.
How can I unlock a PDF?
Use our Unlock PDF tool. Upload your protected PDF, enter the password (if you have it), and download the unlocked version instantly. You can only unlock PDFs you have the password for or that you have permission to modify.
Can I use PDFTools offline?
PDFTools currently requires an internet connection to access the website. However, once tools load, most processing happens in your browser locally. We're exploring offline support for future releases.
What file formats do you support?
We support PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), images (JPG, PNG, WEBP), HTML, and more. Check individual tool pages for specific format support.
